VinylVault: S.L.U.G. Zombies

Another forray into blindpacks!  This time with Jakks Pacific S.L.U.G. Zombies line.  Initially a set of 12 zombies minifigures sold as a set at seemingly random ToysRUs’s, eight of these have been repackaged into single-packed blindpacked boxes.  I found these at Walgreens of all places but apparently they’re suppose to be hitting Targets and Kmarts too? Prime Robots in Disguise Vehicon

After the week of Botcon reviews, I had every intent on moving on to something different.  Maybe a Figuart since I haven’t done any of those yet.  Then my Prime Robots in Disguise (PRID) Vehicons showed up and I felt like I had no other choice but to review them. Read on for the Review.

Botcon 2012 Shattered Glass Darkmount

First things first, I don’t care what anyone says, I’m not calling this figure the Bard of Darkmount.  He’s Darkmount, that’s it, you should be lucky I’m not calling him Straxus!  Anyway, the original Darkmount (Straxus as he is originally called) is not a character I was ever familiar with.  He’s a comic only character that never had a toy, until a few years ago when Generations came along and gave him a deluxe.  I instantly fell in love with the design and to this day remains one of my favorite deluxe Transformers.  So how does his mirrorverse counterpart fare?  Read on for the review.

Botcon 2012 Shattered Glass Soundwave

Time for me to venture into the boxset for Botcon 2012.  And I’ll start with what had the potential to be the figure I most looked forward to when everything was initially announced.  I’m a huge Soundwave fan.  Despite missing some I try my best to get one of every Soundwave figure that gets released.  So when I heard that a Soundwave was an included figure this year, the year I’m attending, of course I got excited.  The artwork was released and I was still excited, the drawing looked slick!  Then I saw the TFClub photo and my heart sank.  Read on for the rest of the review.

Botcon 2012 Shattered Glass G2 Prime

I started my Botcon reviews with Kick-Off so it’s only natural that I should continue with his bagmate G2 Shattered Glass Prime.  Let me start out by saying I don’t outright hate the concept of Shattered Glass, but I don’t like it when it feels forced or uninspired.  I like SG Thundercracker because it gives me Action Master Thundercracker, I like SG Cyclonus because in a way it makes sense.  I dislike SG Galvatron because it’s just another purple Galvatron.  With this figure though it’s a little of column A and a little of column B.  Read on for the full review.

Botcon 2012 Kick-Off

Now that I’m back and well rested from Botcon, I feel it’s time to share some of the exclusives with you. Starting off with Kick-Off. An Action Master from the 90’s the character hasn’t seen much love other than a single panel in IDWs Last Stand of the Wreckers, until now. Now I never had the Action Master’s as a kid, and didn’t even know they existed until I returned to the fandom, but I absolutely love it every time one of them is referenced. So it’s probably only natural that I start of my convention recap with the Action Master homage. Read on for the review!
